Timeline and Important Dates: September 1st: Fall Vibes begin (Late summer/Early fall vibes), September 22nd: First day of fall/Autumnal Equinox, October 1st: Spooky Season begins (Peak fall vibes), October 31st: Halloween/End of Spooky Season, November 1st: (Late fall/Early winter vibes), November 28th: Thanksgiving, November 30th: End of Fall Vibes

though 2025 is not a nationwide election year, local election-related activities can still earn fall vibes points (bonus points if adhering to other fall themes)

How to Earn Points

There are four direct methods to earning points. the main way, is by completing fall vibes activities. Additional Points can be earned by watching fall vibes movies and shows, noticing fall vibes, and wearing cute fall outfits. More Specific information on scoring can be found below.

Fall Vibes Activities

fall vibes activities are any fall themed activity that takes a little bit of time/effort/coordination to accomplish. Completing any activity on the provided list will guarantee at least 1 point (up to 5) but any activity may be submitted for possible points. All fall vibes points are on the honor system, but points are awarded based on the specific vibes of your activity, for this reason, documentation is important. For example, saying “I went to a pumpkin patch” will earn one point for the completion of the activity, whereas submitting several pictures documenting a pumpkin patch outing may earn up to 5 points. Multiple activities can earn points in the same outing (i.e. a visit to a fall carnival may include a pumpkin patch and a corn maze, so up to 15 points may be available with good documentation of the vibes).

Fall Vibes Movies, Shows, and Books

Fall vibes movies are worth 3 points and can be submitted only once, specific documentation is less important in this category (unless you’re going for a fall vibes/halloween movie night activity as well). Fall or halloween themed episodes of shows are worth 1 point each, all episodes from shows like Gilmore Girls that have a fall vibe to them are also worth 1 point. Fall Vibes books (including audio book) should be submitted with length either in pages or listening time for point calculation.

Spooky Season and Horror: NON-Fall/Halloween-themed horror movies and shows are eligible for points in the month of October ONLY (same point allocations 2points for movies, 1 for an episode of a show). Halloween-themed movies and shows are worth DOUBLE POINTS in the month of October, but are eligible throughout the duration of fall vibes.

Fall Vibes Hunt

Vibes are smaller things you notice in passing, or a fall vibe that isn’t as intense as a fall vibes activity. A vibe can be anything that makes you feel like it’s fall. vibes are always worth one point each. Vibes should not be submitted with an activity, they are stand alone things in the day to day that feel like fall.

Fall Fits

Any outfit that exemplifies fall vibes in whatever way can earn the wearer one point. The cuter and cozier the better. Any one outfit can only be submitted once, but a single piece can be apart of multiple outfits if it is styled differently enough. there is one fit that is worth up to 5 points: the halloween costume.

NEW: Weekly winners and streaks

to add some fun throughout the competition, I’m adding some more point-earning methods. They are more indirect, so you still need to do one of the four above options, but now COMPLETING at least one fall vibes related thing in sequential weeks (mon-sun) will give you a streak. at the end of the week you will earn as many points as the number of weeks your streak is. at the end of fall vibes the player(s) with the longest streak or anyone who has a 13-week streak will win another 50 points to boot. In addition to this, each week i will award a weekly winner who will get an extra five points and a small prize awarded at the end of the competition. The weekly winner will be the best submission of the week so there’s more incentive to send great pictures and descriptions of your fall vibes activities!
