11th Weekly update

As we enter the last few weeks of fall vibes, I will remind everyone that the autumn doesn’t truly end until december 21st with the winter solstice. I feel like this is important because even though the winter and christmas vibes really take over near the end of november and early december, the fall is really this kind of a period of closing in a way. Between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice, the daylight shortens from equal time with darkness, to it’s shortest length of the year. people always seem to regard winter as the darkest of seasons, but throughout winter, the days are getting longer all the time. The closing-ness of fall is partly what I appreciate it. The trees shed their leaves, the days get short, the air gets cold. It serves as a reminder to leave behind that which no longer serves you, to look inwardly and reflectively at yourself and your life, to cherish what and who you love and hold them close to you for warmth. Of course, we also love the sheer beauty and vibes, fun holidays and activities, and all the rest, but especially in the late fall, this is what resonates with me.

I also see it as reminder and perhaps some guidance for the dark times ahead that we all are facing, while things may get worse before they get better, there will be a time where the days become longer again.

now, before we get into the usual weekly update, I thought I would share some general info on the close of the competition. this year had a really beautiful weekly layout with september starting on a sunday and november ending on a saturday, so we’ve had really clean weekly divisions, that’s not really important but it’s nice anyway. We’ve also had a really amazing competition this year, super high scorers across the board, which means that there will be heavy consideration for honorary mention prizes (ie: even if you don’t think you can place in the top 3, you might still win another prize so keep the submissions coming). Going forward, there will be one more traditional weekly update on saturday the 23rd. On Saturday the 30th, there will be a final weekly update without a leader board update, this is because I will be accepting submissions until Late on the night of the 30th.

BE AWARE I WILL NOT ACCEPT POINT SUBmissions after november 30th, even if the activity/points etc happened beforehand.

For this reason, please make sure that you submit all of your activities/outfits/vibes/movies before the deadline.

The top 3 point winners as well as the honorable mention winners will be announced on december 1st. The timing of prize awards will depend on the breakdown of winners, and the number of ties and honorable mention prizes awarded. My hope is that prizes will be awarded within the first week of december. If you win a prize and are not located in colorado, there may be added time to account for shipping and/or delivery.
