9th Weekly Update

This week, we leave spooky season behind us and enter the last third of the fall vibes competition. Non-fall horror no longer will be counted for points and Halloween movies and shows are back to regular points early, as always you can double check the rules page for clarification.

As of today, we are only 3 days away from the election. If you are eligible and you haven’t already, PLEASE VOTE! and if it’s possible, there’s still time for some last minute calls or texts to get out the vote. Even if you don’t get on an official phone bank, can you think of 1 or 3 or 5 people you know in a swing state? give them a call to make sure they’ve voted or see if they need any information or assistance. In a race this tight, every voter maters and we can do it if we all do what we can! This will be the final reminder/plea for volunteerism, anything you do for the campaign or election season also counts as fall vibes points, so remember to share your activities.

The fall vibes competition saw some tightening this week, there are exactly four more weeks before the competition closes and there are still plenty of ways to soak in the fall vibes. As we transition to late fall, there may be less of the traditional fall markers around. there may also be a push into winter and the christmas holiday season. This is a part of why the fall vibes competition even exists, to remind us to take things slow and not always rush to the next thing and the next thing and the next all the time. As daylight savings time ends tonight, we will enter a period of long dark nights for a while. This is a part of fall too. It’s a time of rest and reflection as we prepare for the winter, and it reminds us to revel in the daylight hours that we still have. Late fall is the coziest section of fall vibes, I especially encourage the creative activities like crafting, baking, and cooking, as well as leisure activities like reading, listening to music, and having fun fall-themed movie nights. And when you see all the christmas decorations at the store, remember fall vibes runs through the end of November and we still have thanksgiving to get to.

With the competition tightening, I realize it’s possible the competition will end with one or more ties, if this is the case, both winners would get their own prize for the place that they are in. I will do my best to ensure that those prizes have the same items and overall value, but they might not be 100% identical. Without any further ado, here is the current leader Board:
